Sunshine Marine Lodge - Matemwe

Featuring 3 swimming pools, a dive centre, and a restaurant, Sunshine Marine Lodge is situated on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean and Mnemba Atoll, in a wild and unspoiled bush, far away from busy city life.

Every room features a furnished balcony or balcony, free Wi-Fi, fans, mosquito net, safety deposit box, kettle, a bottle of water daily, and tea & coffee making facilities. The ensuite bathrooms are equipped with a shower.

Sunshine Marine Lodge also offers their guests access to a beach area on Sunshine Bay, our sister property. This private beach features a restaurant, beach bar as well as umbrellas and sun lounges.
Guests can take a complementary shuttle multiple times per day.

There is a wooden jetty leading down to the beach at low tide and to the sea at high tide. Guests can also relax by one of the pools. Dive Point Zanzibar offers scuba diving and snorkeling.

The property also features a Body & Mind Harmony Centre. The space was designed with yoga practitioners in mind, but can serve many other purposes. Yoga classes available.

Guests can enjoy local and international cuisine at the restaurant and drinks at the Boat Bar. There are several lounge areas, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

Sunshine Marine Lodge is located 55 km from Stone Town and 60 km from Zanzibar International Airport. Located just in front of Mnemba Island, the lodge is a 20-minute drive from Matemwe.

The hotel day starts from hour 12:00 and ends at 10:00.

Set in a luscious garden, this more spacious room comes with a furnished balcony or veranda, Zanzibari-style décor, king size bed with mosquito net, 2 stone benches, desk, safe, fans. The private bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilette separated. 2 extra single beds can be added. The rate is based on 2 adults but can accommodate up to 4 guests (see Hotel Policies). Deluxe Ocean Front Suite. Featuring a private balcony or verandah, this unit is located in a bungalow overlooking the Indian Ocean. It is spacious and offers a private entrance. It also comes with Zanzibari-style décor and a seating area. The private bathroom is fitted with a shower. There is no capacity for an extra bed in this room type. There is a 2 guest maximum. ;
Garden Suite. Housed in a bungalow and featuring Zanzibari decor, these rooms have a balcony or veranda overlooking the lush garden. The king-size bed is draped with a mosquito net, and the room is equipped with a desk, safe, fans and a closet. The en suite bathroom has a shower. This room is available as twin bedded and one extra bed can be added on request. The rate is based on 2 adults but can accommodate up to 3 guests (see Hotel Policies).
